Working Hands is a privately-owned clinic that specialises in conditions of the lower arm. All of our therapists are qualified Physiotherapists, and recognised as Registered Hand Therapists with both ACC and the New Zealand Association of Hand Therapists. We work closely with Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgeons, local GPs, case managers (for both ACC and private insurers) and other allied health professionals.

First Appointments

Please allow up to one hour for us to take a comprehensive history, assess your symptoms and then begin your treatment.

You will need to bring:

  • Your ACC number (if relevant)

  • Any medical documents, referral letters or investigations relating to your condition

FEES

ACC Initial Appointment (up to one hour) } if approved, these sessions and some of the

Follow Up Appointments (1/2 hour) } splinting costs will be covered by ACC

Private Initial Appointment (up to one hour) $120.00

Follow Up Appointments (1/2 hour) $ 90.00

Splinting Therapist to advise

Consumables (eg: tapes, lotions, strengthening tools, scar management) Therapist to advise

Payment

Payment is required following each appointment, unless otherwise arranged.

You can pay by cash, eftpos (debit card), credit card or direct credit.

Cancellations

We require at least 24 hours notice of cancellations otherwise a non-attendance fee will be charged.
